Condoleezza Rice and David M. Kennedy in “American Creed” (Promotional still)

Join the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore (JCCNS) for a virtual screening of the PBS documentary “American Creed,” in which former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy come together from remarkably different backgrounds, life experiences and points of view to explore the idea of a unifying American creed.

JCCNS will host a panel discussion with Marty Schneer, executive director of the JCCNS, Jeremy Burton, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council, and Karen Bar-Or, program manager at the Israeli American Council, moderated by Staci Rosenthal from Facing History and Ourselves.

The panel will address themes from the film designed to engage the community in thoughtful and respectful dialogue of Jewish and American ideals across all types of deepening divides. The audience will also have the opportunity to hear from the film’s writer and director Sam Ball about the making of the film and participate in a Q&A.
