Join us as we honor the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Guided by our guest teachers, Rabbi Or Rose and Imam Taymullah Abdur-Rahman, we will explore Dr. King’s close friendship with Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, whose 50th yahrzeit we also mark this month. In reflecting on the relationship of these great spiritual activists, we will challenge ourselves to ask how we can forge meaningful connections across lines of difference. Together, can we bend the arc of justice in a time of heightened polarization and resurgent bigotry? Do we dare to dream and act for change here and now? This annual Erev MLK Jr. Day Adult Learning Series event is hosted by the Va’ad Horim/Parent Association.
