Hadassah Northeast Women’s Empowerment Conference

Deborah Goldberg, newly elected Massachusetts State Treasurer, fifth generation Hadassah woman and the first Jewish woman elected to a statewide office in Massachusetts will kick off the conference with a short welcome, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Kimberly Bookman, general assignment reporter with NBC affiliate WHDH 7. The morning panel discussion will comprise topics of interest to many women, such as financial awareness, personal growth, professional transitions and spirituality. Panelists include Suzanne Priebatsch, senior vice president, Morgan Stanley, Nanette Fridman, founder and principal, Fridman Strategies, Addie Swartz, CEO, reacHIRE, and Rabbi Carol Mitchell, Pastoral Rabbi and Jewish Chaplain. This will be followed by breakout sessions led by each panelist, allowing conference participants to delve a little deeper into a topic that interests them the most.

The lunch program will include a special address by Hadassah National President, Marcie Natan, followed by an afternoon presentation with Wendy Murphy, JD, who will discuss “Producing Equality, Autonomy and Voice: How Creative Lawyering Can Improve Women’s Lives.” The day will conclude with an address by Maggie Anton, author of Rashi’s Daughters and Enchantress.
