In preparation for Passover, we gather to pause, reflect, and prepare ourselves for the journey of liberation ahead. Join us for a nourishing half-day immersive using the Jewish Studio Process—combining Jewish text study, hands-on art-making, and reflective writing—to explore themes of constriction, release, and becoming woven through the Passover story and our own lives.
Passover tells the story of a people moving from enslavement toward freedom, a journey that invites us, each year, to ask where we feel constrained and where we are longing for greater openness and possibility. What feels tight or limiting right now? What might be ready to shift as we approach the holiday? Through creative exploration and shared reflection, we’ll make space to notice what we are carrying, loosen what no longer serves us, and open ourselves to what wants to emerge on the other side.
This program is presented in partnership with B’nai Or of Boston and Hebrew College. We’re excited to welcome Rabbi Ariel Hendelman, spiritual leader of B’nai Or Boston, to guide a grounding chant practice as part of the immersive. Ariel is an ordained rabbi through the Aleph Ordination Program and teaches Torah through a mystical, mythic, and mindful lens.
No art experience necessary—just bring curiosity and a willingness to engage the process.
After the program, at 5 p.m., you’re warmly invited to join Hebrew College for the opening of its spring art exhibit, “A Journey of Wonder: A Visual Dance with the Hebrew Holiday Calendar,” featuring work by artist Deborah Feinstein, founding chair of the Hebrew College Arts Initiative.
