Are you interested in hosting a Creativity Shabbat on Oct. 17 but not sure where to begin? Then this gathering is for you!
OneTable and Jewish Studio Project are partnering nationwide to celebrate Creativity Shabbat on Shabbat Bereishit, the first Shabbat of the Torah cycle. In Boston, we’re coming together to support and inspire anyone looking to host a Creativity Shabbat through this national initiative!
Each year, we return to the Torah with fresh eyes. Shabbat Bereishit invites us into the sacred act of beginning, a time when the Divine brings intention and form to the swirling chaos of creation. Similarly, Shabbat offers us a weekly opportunity to pause, reflect, and bring intention to our lives.
At this gathering, you’ll learn more about what it means to host a Creativity Shabbat and how to do it with ease and authenticity. No artistic experience is required, just a willingness to show up with curiosity, play, and see what emerges.
Let this be the start of your own creative journey, for yourself, your community, and your Shabbat practice.
Food: This event won’t have dinner, so please come well nourished. We’ll have plenty of snacks, but not a full meal. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know so we can make sure we have something for you!
Accessibility: We’ll be meeting in a sukkah! There will be enough chairs for everyone, so please RSVP to help us ensure we have enough seating. The location is accessible via both the Green Line and the Orange Line. Very limited parking is available. We can’t wait to welcome you!
