Everyone’s talking about it. What will life be like post-pandemic? What will we return to? What will we do differently? What’s to come?

This Wednesday, we’re learning from two remarkable spiritual leaders—Rabbi Shira Stutman of Sixth & I and Rabbi Lauren Holtzblatt of Adas Israel—who will be in conversation with Rabbanit Aliza Sperling of Maharat about something near and dear to their hearts: the synagogue. What will become of the synagogue as we return to communal life?

Come share your thoughts on the impact of this time away from synagogue. The doors to our synagogues were closed for so long—should they remain that way? Have we seen new doors open?

Join SVIVAH for our continued HerTorah series “What’s To Come?”: Reconsidering Synagogue.

These three leaders will share what they’ve learned as “outsiders” this year and ask each of us to share our own visions—what each of us has been able to see more clearly from the pandemic-imposed distance of this past year.

We hope you’ll join us and bring your thoughtfulness to join theirs. These conversations about “what comes next” ensure that we build a world improved by the experience we’ve all just had.

As always, SVIVAH welcomes anyone who would like to be included in a circle of Jewish women. HerTorah gathers together a diverse community of Jewish women to connect over our shared heritage, explore our collective wisdom and elevate our communal experience in learning with and from one another. Join us as we think and learn together about what our post-COVID Jewish world might look like.

Also? This is a SVIVAH room. That means we will hear new voices. Meet new people. See familiar faces. Be together. This space is something special. We just want to hear how you’re doing. Come pop in. Even if it’s just for 20 minutes. We just want to see your face. The conversation is always better when you show up.

Questions? Email connect@svivah.org.

*SVIVAH defines “Jewish woman” as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women.

HerTorah is directed by Rabbanit Aliza Sperling, made possible in part by funds granted by the Covenant Foundation and the Aviv Foundation, presented in partnership with Maharat and inspired by each one of us.
