Show that hate won’t win in Massachusetts. Commemorate the six-month anniversary of the Oct. 7 massacre and kidnapping.

We will join together as a community to:

  • Speak out against antisemitism and Jew hatred
  • Remember the hostages and let their families know that they are not alone
  • Support our neighbors who are threatened by antisemitism and let the haters know that we will not be silenced
  • This is a grassroots, participatory event; it’s not about speeches but about showing up as a united community where every person matters!

We will:

  • Rebuild the hostage wall that was defaced (led by teens and tweens)
  • Raise awareness about the hostages (more than 100 babies, children, women, and men were kidnapped and remain in Gaza)
  • Write letters to the hostage families while children draw pictures (materials will be provided at the event)
  • Adopt a hostage family (take home a hostage yard sign and send regular notes of support to hostage families)

How can you help?

  • Help spread the word
  • Volunteer to make calls and send emails to community contacts (in both the Jewish and non-Jewish community)
  • Make and bring signs to the event supporting the hostages and speaking out against antisemitism
  • Bring American and/or Israeli flags
  • Volunteer to help at the event
  • Sign up your tweens and teens to participate in the wall rebuilding
  • Adopt a hostage family (more details to come)
  • Show up and bring a friend (or 10)

If you have any questions or want to volunteer, please contact hostagewall@gmail.com.

This is a grassroots, community event supported by CJP, ADL, JCRC and IAC New England.
