An ecstatic, soulful Friday night prayer service north of the Charles? Get ready. It’s the Asiyah Jewish Community’s inaugural Kabbalat Shabbat. David, Noah, and community musicians will take us on a journey through heights and depths on the week’s Torah theme of dwelling and dreaming. Please join us as we welcome in Shabbat with songful prayer. Then stay for a vegetarian potluck meal. Dreamcoat optional.

What: A prayer service for all levels of experience and inexperience. A separate but integrated children’s space. Art station? Festive potluck meal!

Potluck: Please bring a veggie dish to share with six to eight people. The space is nut-free; let’s keep it that way! If you bring cheese, please make sure it uses vegetarian rennet. We’ll provide challah and kiddush wine/juice. If you want more beverages, bring them!

What else: We need volunteers! Do you want to sing/play with us? Can you help set up? Is beautification your jam? Are you an artist who wants to prompt us into a collaborative project on the side? Are you a gracious host? Can you design a unique kids’ space? Hit us up at volunteer@asiyah.org.
