Join Keshet for a night of theater. We will see a series of short plays put on by the Brown Box Theatre Project with a post show conversation and reception to follow. Tickets to the event are free, however Keshet is reserving tickets as a group so please be sure to RSVP by Wednesday, April 22nd.
About the production
Brown Box Theatre Project presents an evening of enchanting and interrogative short plays that explore the space between sleeping and waking, thinking and knowing, living, and dying. This performance will be immediately followed by a discussion and reception with the artists involved in one of the short plays, Personal Belongings by Diana Raznovich.
About Diana Raznovich
Diana Raznovich is a contemporary playwright and political cartoonist whose cultural heritage figures prominently in her work. Born to Jewish European parents in Argentina during the last year of WWII, she came of age during Argentina’s “Dirty War” and was one of countless refugees who fled the country’s violent dictatorship in the 1970s. Her own husband was a member of the resistance who “disappeared.” A feminist and out bisexual, she also writes extensively about feminine identity, misogyny, homophobia, and female sexuality. Her work is characterized by a wry and subversive sense of humor, surrealism, and a fierce resistance to taboos. To learn more about the plays check out the Brown Box Theater website.
