Local Author Neville Frankel Discussion and Book Signing, Plus Klezmer Music

Emmy award-winning writer and local author, Neville Frankel, addresses the challenges of writing historical fiction, using as an example the work on his new Soviet-era novel, “On the Sickle’s Edge.” This talk, “Under the Soviet Shadow: Shaping History into Fiction,” provides deep insight into the author’s creative process, as he discusses the delicate balance between integrating historical detail while remaining faithful to the family stories that inspired the work.

The author will be joined by renowned New England Conservatory Klezmer violinist Abigale Reisman performing music of the Latvian and Russian shtetl. Author book signing following talk.
