Josh Rotman, a long-time Major League Baseball scout, will speak at Temple Beth David of the South Shore. This is a perfect event for a springtime morning as the baseball season gets into full swing. He will talk about many aspects of being a professional in the national pastime, including Jews in baseball, the baseball scouting perspective, how to appreciate the game of baseball at the park and on TV, as well as changes in the game of baseball in the recent past.

Rotman has had a long and fascinating career, having been a college professor and social studies teacher for 20 years and a professional baseball scout for 16 years with the Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles and St. Louis Cardinals. In addition, Rotman was also a referee and official for 50 years in baseball, softball and basketball. He was the 1984 recipient of the Budweiser Sports Hall of Fame.

This event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.

For more information on this or any Temple Beth David programs, please email or call the temple office at 781-828-2275.
