Temple Beth David of the South Shore in Canton will host a special Tu B’Shevat seder. The event will feature a presentation from the temple’s Shorashim Religious School students and a pizza dinner.
Tu B’Shevat marks the season in which the earliest-blooming trees in the land of Israel emerge from their winter sleep and begin a new fruit-bearing cycle. It is celebrated by eating special fruits and is also an environmental awareness day. Families are encouraged to attend with their children. Attendees will receive a kit to plant and grow parsley in time for Passover.
