Daniel Serfaty, Founder and CEO, Aptima, Inc., Chairman, Aptima Ventures

As Aptima’s founder and CEO, Daniel Serfaty has led Aptima to become the premier human-centered engineering business in the world. His work optimizes the integration of humans with intelligent technologies in defense, health care, aviation and education. His keynote addresses around the world are encouraging his audiences to imagine a future in which human and artificial intelligence work together in the service of humankind. Daniel and his wife, Irene, live in Cambridge with their twins, Natasha and Gabriel. Daniel’s interdisciplinary background includes degrees in mathematics, psychology, aerospace engineering and international business management from the Université de Paris, the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and UConn. He is the recipient of the University of Connecticut Distinguished Service Award and has been inducted into its Engineering Hall of Fame.

Ronny Shalev, Ph.D., CEO, Dyad Medical

Ronny Shalev, Ph.D., is the CEO of Dyad Medical, a start-up company in Boston. Dyad Medical develops AI applications to provide automated medical image analysis to reduce the need for human intervention and thus errors and conflicts. Dr. Shalev has spent much of the past 25 years in executive positions, including VP of marketing and sales at Orbotech (NASDAQ: ORBK), where he managed sales and marketing teams of over 100 people worldwide, and director of the World Wide Program Management at Marvell Semiconductor (NASDAQ: MRVL), where he managed development of over 200 products. Dr. Shalev obtained his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University, specializing in machine learning, medical image processing and visualization.

Eila Arich-Landkof, Founder and CEO, Oriel Research Therapeutics

An entrepreneur in the computer science and life science industries, Eila Arich-Landkof served in a variety of positions in the high-tech industry and in the life-science industry. He worked for leading companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, Elbit Systems, The Whitehead Institute, Mass General and the Broad Institute. Currently, Eila leads the Deep-Learning-in-Production meetup in Cambridge (2,000+ members) and is the founder and CEO of Oriel Research Therapeutics, where AI methods are used to develop disease screening tests and therapy matching for patients.
