March 27, 2015 $5.00 - $10.00

Please join us for the Stuart Marks Memorial Shabbat at Temple Aliyah on March 27–28 for a Shabbat filled with high-quality learning about the Haggadah—just in time for Passover. Featured speaker will be Scholar-in-Residence Rabbi Eliezer Diamond, professor of Talmud and rabbinics at the Jewish Theological Seminary. On Friday evening, March 27 at 6:15 pm, there will be a Kabbalat Shabbat followed by dinner, and Rabbi Diamond will speak on “A Twice Told Tale: Two Versions of the Exodus Story in the Haggadah.” Cost for dinner is $10/adult and $5 for children under 8 (deadline for dinner reservations is Friday, March 20); register for dinner at www.templealiyah.com. On Shabbat morning, March 28, Rabbi Diamond will discuss “Where are the Answers? The Relationship between the Four Questions and the Haggadah as a Whole.” After Kiddush he will lead a text study on “The History and Development of the Four Questions.” Rabbi Diamond’s visit to Temple Aliyah is sponsored by the family of the late Stuart Marks.
