Don’t miss this special opportunity for your child to sample Kerem Shalom of Concord’s award-winning holiday preschool program. This class is free of charge and is open to new students between the ages of 3-5 years by reservation only.

Students and their families are invited to come in early for a light brunch of bagels and cream cheese from 11-11:25 a.m. Students will learn about the holiday of Tu Bi-Sh’vat, the Jewish Arbor Day. Tu Bi-Sh’vat, also called the New Year, or the Birthday of the Trees, celebrates the mitzvah (holy obligation) of caring for the earth as well as the special role played by trees in our lives and in our relationship to the land of Israel.

Students who attend the holiday preschool program learn about this and other holidays through a hands-on program that includes stories, crafts, movement and other learning activities with teacher Abbe Smerling. Ms. Smerling is a licensed preschool teacher and has received multiple awards for excellence in Jewish preschool education.
