Georgia attorney Barbara Katz will discuss the documents that all marrying and/or married couples should complete to provide for their spouse and children, including wills, health care advance directives and financial powers of attorney. Special attention will be given to trust and guardianship issues for minor children.

A Q&A will also give us the opportunity to address specific questions you might have if you are a single parent, same-sex couple, blended family or family created through assisted reproduction.

Open to all regardless of Jewish background or education. Queer and interfaith families explicitly welcome!

Barbara E. Katz is a family formation attorney whose practice is dedicated to assisting individuals and all families in the area of adoption and assisted reproductive technology law, wills and estate planning, and issues related to the marriage relationship, such as prenuptial agreements. She is especially dedicated to helping alternative families, such as same-sex couples and single parents, with legal issues in their personal lives.
