Join us for an online conversation with director Dr. Shari L. Rogers, Ph.D., Susannah Heschel and more.

The historical ties between Black and Jewish Americans began long before the civil rights era. “Shared Legacies” explores this significant alliance, sharing eyewitness accounts, interviews with civil rights leaders, including the late U.S. Rep. John Lewis, and a treasure trove of archival footage. The film is a tribute to the pursuit of what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called a “coalition of conscience” and a celebration of the partnership, as well as an urgent call to action for today.

Dr. Shari Rogers is a licensed clinical psychologist and social activist. Her work includes movie production, writing, educational programming, curriculum development and public speaking. Rogers is the president and founder of Spill The Honey, an organization committed to promoting human dignity and advancing public knowledge of the Holocaust and the civil rights movement. Rogers also serves as a trustee of the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy.
