What’s the best way to celebrate Simchat Torah?
Singing! That’s why we invited David Sparr, Music Director, Josh Cohen and our amazing Shabbat band!
Dancing! We’ll dance on Beacon Street with the Torahs!
Community! We will unroll the Torah and surround the entire community in its teachings.
Teaching! We will mark the beginning of another school year. Our grade six children will become our teachers as they find “their place in the Torah” and begin preparations for B’nei Mitzvah.
Chanting! Hear how to chant the last and first verses of the Torah.
Art! We’ll make fun Torah crafts during dinner!
Cookies! Torah is meant to be sweet so a special Oneg Shabbat will follow services!
There is something for everyone at Ohabei Shalom’s Simchat Torah celebration!
5:30 pm Tot Shabbat for families with children ages 6 and under
6:00 pm Community Dinner (RSVP)
7:00 pm Erev Shabbat Service featuring Consecration followed by Dancing in the Street and an Oneg Shabbat!
(Please note: everything except the community dinner is free.)
Come celebrate the joy of Torah together with us!
