TheRetreat, organized by the New England Region of The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, is the first and oldest weekend retreat for Jewish men.

What to expect at TheRetreat 2023:

  • Speaker: Rabbi Geoffrey Haber on Jews and the military: What is allowed and what is not? Concepts of “purity of arms,” wars of conquest vs. defense, Jewish war heroes.
  • Music: Entertainment by professional musician, singing at campfire and throughout the weekend. Join a chorus.
  • Sports: Dr. Charles Steinberg, president of the WooSox, on Jews in the sports business.
  • Food: Kosher BBQ (ribs!), hors d’oeuvres, vegetarian options, special breakfast, snacks.
  • Relaxation: Swimming, boating, bike riding and sports.
  • Accommodations: Updated and comfortable mattresses and beds.
  • Plus: Hanging out with new and old friends, sipping scotch, beer and wine, lay-led services, all in a beautiful and casual camp setting.
