All faiths and ages are welcome to join us in an indoor/outdoor Yom Kippur closing service. Rabbi Katy Allen will lead this traditional and nontraditional service that allows all to participate if they choose to share their voice.

The evening will begin in the sanctuary with a family-friendly discussion on the meaning of Yom Kippur. We will also have singing, meditation and interesting conversation.

At 6:30 p.m. we will hike to the top of nearby Coolidge Hill for Neilah and Havdalah, the closing prayers for the day. You may find a deeper connection to the holiday than you have in the past.

A vegetarian potluck meal to break the fast will conclude the evening. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. In case of rain, the celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held indoors.

As a portion of this event is outdoors, please dress for the weather and bring bug spray.

The indoor location is handicap accessible.

This event is co-sponsored by Common Street Spiritual Center.
