Take a deep dive with us as we explore teshuva/forgiveness and return in an intimate offsite retreat. This decidedly unorthodox take on the day will feature familiar Yom Kippur davvenen/prayer heavily interspersed with opportunities for movement and meditation, both guided and silent. Weather permitting, we will spend parts of the day outdoors, including an optional silent hike in the immediately adjacent woods.

The heart of the teshuva experience will be an energy clearing technique, called shamanic coaching, led by special guest Miriam Katz. She will guide us, within a Kabbalistic framework, through emotional blockages as a pathway into balance and greater access to clarity. This process provides access to an embodied experience of teshuva, the return to a state of unity. We’ll do this work as a group and in chevruta/paired dialogue to navigate the inner landscape, from darkness into light.

The day will conclude with an ecstatic Neilah/gate-closing service and a celebratory potluck break-fast.

TICKETS

We believe that communal spiritual uplift should be available to all, so we ask that you make a sliding-scale donation ($5-$360) that matches your conscience and pocketbook. There is no charge for Asiyah co-creators (members). Register here.

ACCESSIBILITY

The private home we’ll be meeting in is wheelchair accessible and outfitted with a chairlift for access to the second-floor kitchen. The trails for the hike are rough terrain and not wheelchair accessible. Limited parking onsite is available for those with special mobility needs.

LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION

We will be hosted by a member in a private home in Stow. The address will be shared upon registration. The location is close to the South Acton commuter rail station (accessible from Porter Square T stop), and shuttles will be available to and from the station at the beginning and end of the event. Parking at the commuter rail station is also available for those who choose to drive. Onsite parking is limited and will be allocated preferentially to those with special needs.
