The interactive family service is an educational, family-oriented program. There will be two separate family services: one for the younger children and another for the older children.

A first prayer experience with Rabbi Avi. The prayers will be conducted in both Hebrew and English, with simultaneous insights and explanations into the practices, prayers and rituals. Easy to follow Machzor with transliteration will be used during the service.

Singing and storytelling. Alex Cores, renowned storyteller, will share with us a Yom Kippur story and teach us some new songs and Yom Kippur prayers.

Lunch. A healthy lunch and snacks will be served to the children and teens who are not fasting.

Yom Kippur activity. The children will be engaged with Yom Kippur games to help reiterate important Yom Kippur themes in an interactive and exciting way.

After the prayer experience the family service will be divided into two groups: The older children will go with Rabbi Avi to continue learning about Yom Kippur, listen to some stories, play games and eat lunch. The younger children will remain in the room and continue the family service with Alex and Luna with stories, songs and lunch.

The Yom Kippur family service is a meaningful one-hour structured service that will engage your children, leaving them motivated and inspired.
