Camp JORI is an independent, co-ed, Jewish, kosher overnight and day camp for children in grades K–10. There is also a “Reaching Up” program for campers with special needs ages 11 to 14.
Located on 75 acres on Worden’s Pond in Wakefield, Rhode Island, JORI has been providing campers with a safe, nurturing place for a summer of fun and memorable experiences since 1937. Our comprehensive program of sports, arts, Israel and Jewish culture, and special activities is enhanced by our strong sense of “TACEO”—Taking Care of Each Other. Summer days here are definitely action-packed!
We have a team of adult administrative staff, specialists, and skilled counselors who make a summer at JORI a great camping experience and work hard to help each child reach their potential. To quote one of our campers, “Camp JORI is better than Disney World because you are there longer and have more fun!”
New as of summer 2018: JORI Performing Arts Camp (JORIPAC) is a performing arts “camp-within-a-camp.” Open to teens in seventh through 10th grade who want to immerse themselves in performance while enjoying all that traditional overnight Jewish summer camp has to offer.
Unplugged and open to new experiences, teens act, sing, dance, walk on stilts, tumble, juggle, and perform in exciting all-camp shows—discovering more about who they are as artists and individuals while also enjoying all that Jewish overnight camp has to offer.
