Sigd 2022 begins the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 22, and ends the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 23. Sigd is an Ethiopian Jewish (Beta Israel) holiday celebrated exactly 50 days after Yom Kippur. It is thought to be the date on which God first revealed himself to Moses. Since 2008, Sigd has been officially recognized as a state holiday in Israel.
