As the Community Creative Fellowship welcomes its seventh cohort, we’re taking a look back at the remarkable impact of the artists who came before them. From award-winning musicians and filmmakers to dancers, educators, and visual artists, fellowship alumni continue to create bold Jewish work, collaborate with one another, and reach audiences across Boston and around the world.

Laura Conrad Mandel

Laura Conrad Mandel is a curator and entrepreneur. She grew up at Schechter Boston, graduated Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in art and English, and began her nonprofit career at Hillel. Laura served as executive director of the Jewish Arts Collaborative from 2014-2025, and following a merger with the Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture, she now serves as managing director of program strategy and impact.
