Hummus v’Hummus is about to open two locations! Well-known Jewish restaurateur Avi Shemtov (The Chubby Chickpea, Simcha) will introduce his first branch at the Speedway in Brighton (525 Western Ave.) on April 1 and at The Street at Chestnut Hill (3 Boylston St.) on April 15.
Not surprisingly, the quick-serve spots focus on hummus (neither are kosher). (Shemtov classifies his as “creamy.”) The menus are compact, affordable and kid-friendly, especially the Newton one, which has a mac-and-cheese option. See below:
