On Sunday, April 10th, the Kesher 13 group from Temple Israel of Natick orchestrated a Passover program for the Jewish residents at Whitney Place Assisted Living Residences in Natick.

It was evident in their singing of “Dayenu”, that the residents really enjoyed the Seder. So many of them remembered the chorus that it was a treat for them to be singing altogether with the 5th grade students and their parents.

98 year old Izzy shared his story, remembering when his parents invited a poor man selling threads and buttons to join them for a Seder.  This must have made a great impression on him since he was only a little boy when this experience occurred.  Doris shared that she wished she could prepare a Seder again. She misses the preparations and cooking as she used to do for her family.

The residents, their adult children, the students and their parents, three generations together celebrating Passover. All in all it was a very moving and special Passover celebration for them all.
