Youth voices represent a critical pulse in today’s society. An unprecedented panel of five young adults, coming to Boston from the West Bank and Israel, will take part in a frank discussion about their realities and the futures they envision on Thursday, April 14 at 7:30pm. The talk takes place at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton St.) in Newton. Moderating the conversation will be Naomi Darom (pictured), a fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University and former journalist at the Israeli magazine Musaf Haaretz. Panelists are:
· Daniella Garson lives in Jerusalem and is a student at Hebrew University
· Jawad Masri is a Palestinian pursuing his master’s degree at Tel Aviv University
· Jowan Qupty is a Palestinian-Israeli from East Jerusalem studying at Tel Aviv University
· Tamar Shalem is a student at Hebrew University and writes for the student newspaper
· Noam Shouster-Eliassi lives in Israel, has familial roots in Iran and is a graduate of Brandeis University
