We recommend that even first-time campers sign up for a regular session. But sometimes campers or parents want to dip a toe in more gently, so we also offer a 1-week Yalla! Tevya for first-time campers who are rising second graders. “Yalla!” means “Let’s go!” in Hebrew, and this mini-session is the perfect way for new campers to ease into the overnight camp experience.
Yalla! Tevya campers will get a taste of all of the magic of camp in just one week! Your child will sample tons of fun activities, with specialized programming differentiated for this age group. The daily schedule will be full of arts, sports, swimming, boating, and more, plus special events and evening activities, topped off by the spirited Tevya Shabbat experience.
Best of all, Yalla! Tevya campers will live in their very own bunk. Dedicated counselors who are skilled with this age group will help your child make friends, try new and favorite activities, and become part of the Tevya family.
The Yalla! Tevya experience is available to new campers entering second grade in the September after camp. Each camper may enroll in Yalla! Tevya only for one summer.
