The community is invited to this year’s MLK Breakfast honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and paying tribute to the late Mike Rosenberg.
The day will start with a tribute to Rosenberg — the first community reporter for The Bedford Citizen, former Select Board and School Committee member, coach, engaged citizen, and advocate for all things Bedford. Rosenberg was also a dedicated supporter of civil rights, Bedford’s METCO program, and one of the co-founders of Bedford Embraces Diversity and the MLK Breakfast.
Continuing the tribute to Rosenberg, there will be a screening of “Shared Legacies,” about the joint work of Jewish and African-American leaders in the civil rights movement, followed by a community discussion.
Doors open for breakfast and mingling at 9 a.m., and the program begins at 9:30 a.m.
This year’s breakfast is hosted by the Parents Diversity Council and Bedford METCO program, with the support of Combined Jewish Philanthropies’ Center for Combating Antisemitism and Middlesex Community College.
