Congregation Beth Elohim is honored to welcome Rabbi Arthur Waskow for a night of conversation and dialogue about his lifetime of work revitalizing and inspiring American Jewish culture.

CBE’s Rabbi Mike Rothbaum will ask Rabbi Waskow about his decades of teaching and inspiring world Jewry, beginning with his engagement of the American Jewish community in the aftermath of the Holocaust, to his work today facing the modern challenges of climate change, racism, anti-Semitism and militarism, utilizing the timeless power of Jewish liturgy, spirituality and social justice, as well as interreligious conversation.

For 50 years, Rabbi Arthur Waskow has been a guiding light pointing the way toward principled Jewish living, interreligious dialogue and the Jewish call for dignity for all of God’s creation. Since writing the original Freedom Seder in 1969, which intertwined contemporary issues of civil rights, social justice and pacifism with the traditional Passover seder, Rabbi Waskow has been a pioneer in the Jewish Renewal movement and has been honored throughout the world as a leader in the teaching and practice of eco-Judaism.

This event is sponsored by Congregation Beth Elohim Adult Education and is free and open to the public. Please help us accommodate all who would like to attend by registering by March 21 if you plan to join us.
