Increasing numbers of Israelis are choosing to live abroad. But what do we really know about the Israelis who emigrate, and what historical, cultural, and political factors can help us understand their experiences? Join us as we examine the increasingly diverse Jewish, Israeli, and Palestinian diasporas in a multidisciplinary conversation on Monday, April 13. Then, on April 14, join us for a keynote roundtable on “The Israeli Diaspora in Global Perspective.”
Panel discussions include: Ethnicity and Religion in the Israeli Diaspora; Challenging Linear Narratives of Diaspora and Homeland; and Emotional and Cultural Footprints of the Israeli Diaspora.
The conference will be held in the Rapaporte Treasure Hall, in the Goldfarb/Farber Library. Open to all.
