All are invited to join us in the main sanctuary at 9:30am for morning songs and blessings; the Shaharit services begins at 10am. Come early if you like to sing! The Torah service begins at 11am, with Yizkor at approximately 11:45am, and Rabbi Toba’s talk at noon. At 12:15pm, we will welcome all of our kids into the sanctuary for a story with Rabbi Toba, and a procession with the Torah.
Family and Teen Programs: 10-11am – Gann Academy
Two family services begin at 10am: One for kids aged 0-5 and their grown-ups; the other for 1st through 7th graders and their grown-ups. There is also a program for post-B’Mitzvah teens (geared toward 8th-10th graders) at 10am. Childcare is provided at the end of these services, and kids are also welcome in the main sanctuary. We gather together as a full community at approximately 12:15pm for a story with Rabbi Toba and the close of the morning service.
Musaf: 12:35-1:30pm – Gann Academy and Zoom
All are invited to join Rabbi Toba and Karen Arnold for the beautiful Musaf service, which includes much of the special High Holydays liturgy.
Nature Walk: 12:35-2pm
Adults and kids are welcome to join CDT member-leaders on this guided walk in the conservation land near Gann Academy (younger children should have an adult accompany them).
Yom Kippur Afternoon Programming – Gann Academy
Beginning at 2:30pm, there will be programming to nourish the body and soul, including a song circle, text study, tai chi, and more.
The Closing of the Day — Mincha, Eleh Ezkereh, and Neilah: 5-7pm – Gann Academy and Livestreamed
We gather again in our main “sanctuary” at Gann and on livestream for the closing programs and services of the day, including a Mincha program at 5pm, our “Eleh Ezkereh” remembrance ritual at approximately 6pm, and the concluding Neilah service at 6:30pm, followed by an in-person break-fast. Childcare resumes at 5pm. Bring your shofar for the concluding “Tekiah Gedolah!” A communal break-fast follows the Neilah service, all are welcome!
