2:15 – 3:15 p.m. Between Services: Stay in the Day. Deepen Your Yom Kippur Experience. We invite you to participate in your choice of facilitated conversations, or find one of many spaces inside the Temple Israel building and along the Muddy River for meditative quiet:

  • Ask the Clergy: Delve into the themes of the holidays with Rabbis Zecher and Oberstein, and Cantor Stillman. Onsite and online.
  • Hour of Action: Join Tikkun Central, our justice and compassion initiatives, with Rabbi Dan Slipakoff to make the world a better place. At the end of the hour, you will have done a direct kindness for someone in need and in turn, brought deeper compassion and purpose into your Yom Kippur practice. Onsite.
  • Self-Guided, Meditative Walk: Take a contemplative walk at your own pace this Yom Kippur afternoon. Start by scanning a QR code linking to a meditative audio soundtrack designed to accompany your journey with moments of reflection, breath, and prayer. Whether you are fasting or simply seeking a moment of peace, this self-guided experience invites you to slow down, listen inward, and connect with the sacredness of the day through nature and stillness. Walk whenever it feels right for you. No experience is needed—just an open heart, comfortable shoes, and a smartphone with headphones. (Unfacilitated.)
  • Poetry as Prayer, Prayer as Poetry with Rabbi Suzie Jacobson. Onsite and online.
  • Riverway Gathering Space: Connect with other people in their 20s & 30s alongside our Rabbinic Intern Ben Poor. Onsite.
  • Quiet, Meditative Spaces in our Building. (Unfacilitated.)

3:45 p.m. Torah Service, Afternoon Service, Yizkor, Neilah, Havdalah. Onsite and online.

Following Neilah and Havdalah, we will have the chance to gather for a delicious and hearty break fast to share the end of Yom Kippur together! Stay for this delicious moment.
