Boston Jewish Film Festival FRESHFLIX,
New Center NOW, and the Boston Jewish Music Festival announce they are hosting an
Amy WineHOUSE Party that pays tribute to the talent and spirit of the late vocal
powerhouse on July 23, 2014 at Johnny D’s in Somerville, 8:00 p.m. The evening
includes a screening of the documentary Amy Winehouse: The Day She Came to Dingle
and an eclectic set of Winehouse-inspired songs performed by local talent Ingrid Gerdes
and Friends. There will also be a multi-prized raffle with proceeds going to the Amy
Winehouse Foundation. The event will be emceed by Geoff Edgers, documentarian and
Boston Globe arts writer.
