Antisemitism, which has been called the longest hatred, is on the rise. It often erupts violently—in the United States, in Europe, in the Middle East and beyond. The emergence of campus antisemitism is another confounding aspect to it. To better understand this phenomenon and how to address its many manifestations, three scholars will discuss historical antisemitism, how the present form relates to other hatreds, and the efforts that have been made to combat it.

Speakers:

  • Susannah Heschel (Eli M. Black Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College)
  • Lisa Leff (Director of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies)
  • Thomas Kühne (Professor of History and the Strassler Chair in the Study of Holocaust History and the Director of the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University)

This is a hybrid event. Reception to follow for in-person attendees.
