Join us to learn from two extraordinary women: Stacey Borden, founder and executive director of New Beginnings Re-Entry Services, and Latanya Henderson, founder and executive director of All Things Art, Inc.

Formerly incarcerated, Borden and Henderson will teach us what it’s like to be in prison, how imprisonment affects women and their families, and how mass incarceration targets Black, Indigenous and other people of color.

You will learn about the state’s plans to spend up to $50 million to build a new women’s prison (when incarceration rates are at an all-time low), and how you can take action to support a five-year building moratorium on new prisons and jails. We will be joined by Massachusetts State Rep. Carmine Gentile, who will discuss the proposed prison moratorium legislation and answer questions.

This wonderful event will be both in-person and on Zoom!
