International Holocaust Remembrance Day marks the day Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest concentration and death camp, was liberated on Jan. 27, 1945.

To honor the memories of the 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, the Consulate General of Israel to New England is exhibiting “Beyond Duty,” a series of posters which tell the story of 34 courageous diplomats representing several countries—officially designated by the State of Israel as “Righteous Among the Nations”—who defied the direct orders of their governments to save Jewish lives at great personal and professional risk.

We invite you to learn more about these brave individuals whose stories teach us a valuable lesson about courage, moral rectitude and resilience.

This exhibition is located at the Massachusetts State House. It is free and open to the public. It will be available for viewing on the fourth floor from Jan. 27 to Feb. 6, 2020.
