“Who Will Remain” beautifully interweaves a survivor’s personal narrative, wonderful music, and poetry from the Holocaust with other poetry of loss, hope, and faith.

On Yom HaShoah, the Jewish date for commemorating the Holocaust, attendees are invited to grapple with the terrible destruction of the Shoah and build both understanding and empathy through a tender, accessible, artistic program co-created by Amy Lieberman and Angelynne Hinson.

“Who Will Remain” is performed by:

  • Angelynne Hinson, soprano
  • Amy Lieberman, mezzo soprano
  • David Joseph, speaker
  • Sam Bergman, viola
  • Eliko Akahori, piano

The program includes music by Robert Schumann, Hanns Eisler, Marc Blitzstein and Maurice Ravel, with poetry by Langston Hughes, Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger and Robert Frost.

This event is sponsored by the Emmanuel Center and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
