Boston Jewish Film Festival – Rock in the Red Zone

November 8, 2015 Brookline $11.00 - $16.00 0

For the past 14 years, the Israeli town of Sderot has been bombarded with rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. Despite the constant fear and regular runs to bomb shelters, Sderot has become an epicenter for rock music in Israel. Director Laura Bialis travels to Israel and finds a community there that is unlike any other.

Conversation with Laura Bialis moderated by Dr. Joshua Jacobson, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Northeastern University and founder and director of the Zamir Chorale of Boston.

Join the New Center NOW’s Film Circle and the Boston Jewish Music Festival for a pre-screening meet-up at JP Licks. For young adults (20’s-40’s) only. Space is limited. RSVP to lmandel@ncacboston.org.
