Have you ever been to a Jewish wedding and seen the bride and groom thrown up into the air on chairs while all their friends and family spin in circles around them? We have, and it’s basically the most fun thing ever, and we want to share it with all of you.
Join musicians from Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band and a who’s-who of Boston-area klezmer musicians to dance out the old year in style at one of Boston’s favorite party destinations. You’ll hora and zhok, khosidl and bulgar. You’ll fly through the air on a chair and spin by your heels on a platter. In other words, you’ll have the best night of your whole year, just in time for the High Holidays.
From 7:30-8 p.m., join us for a dance lesson with Abigale Reisman, following by a dance party from 8-9:30 p.m.

Do I have to know how to dance?
No! Come at 7:30 for a lesson with Abigale, or just join in and learn as you go. Most klezmer dance is in group settings, so you can have fun no matter what your level.
Do I have to bring a partner?
No! We all hold hands and dance together. Bring yourself or bring your crew; we’ll all leave as friends.
Do I have to be Jewish?
No! We want to share the fun of klezmer dancing with the whole world. Hablamos español, et nous parlons français, albeit poorly. Dance is for everyone.
What should I wear?
Whatever you want. Preferably shoes you can dance in…
What ages is this appropriate for?
Ages 0-155*
*The oldest person alive is Kane Tanaka of Japan. Kane, you are welcome to come dance with us!
