Join us for “Got Shabbat,” an opportunity for the whole community to come together and have fun, learn and find new ways to celebrate Shabbat.

This Shabbat, we will celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. and explore his legacy. At 9:45 a.m., we begin with songs and blessings highlighting the music of the civil rights movement. Adults and kids are then invited to choose from a panoply of activities until we gather again to read a little Torah and close the service together.

Workshops will include Tot Shabbat for families with children ages 2-5, drumming, an arts project with Yiddish cultural artist Maddy Popkin and a talk with special guest the Rev. Alvan Johnson from Grant A.M.E. Church in Roxbury.

Come find out if you’ve “Got Shabbat!” A kiddush lunch will follow.
