Boston’s most exciting Hanukkah happening!

It’s quite unlike any other Hanukkah event! Now in its sixth year, JArts and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston offers fun and inspiration for all, and it’s free after 4 p.m. Special programs this year include the world music-klezmer fusion of the Yaeko Elmaleh Quintet, Yiddish, Ladino and Hebrew folk songs sung by the incomparable Rosalie Gerut, storytelling by local Moth champion Rabbi Dan Judson and Michelle Ephraim, and a modern dance by Jenna Pollack. Plus enjoy gallery talks by MFA Judaica curator Simona DiNepi.

Families come early to dance and sing along with Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys and participate in a full range of crafts, activities, stories and sing-alongs hosted by PJ Library, and face painting presented by The Vilna Shul. There’s even a make-your-own sufganiyah (doughnut) bar!

At 6:30 p.m. in the Shapiro Courtyard, don’t miss the community candle-lighting of this year’s specially commissioned menorah.

Join us for an unforgettable evening for the entire family! Find more information and a detailed schedule here.
