Featuring Cantor Elias Rosemberg, The Zamir Chorale of Boston and Joshua Jacobson, artistic director.

This year’s program highlights the lighter side of Jewish music—songs of happiness, humor, parody and just plain fun. You will hear joyous Israeli songs such as “Simchu Na” and “Mayim BeSason,” songs from the theater, including Frank Loesser’s “Luck Be a Lady Tonight” from “Guys and Dolls” and Kurt Weill and Ira Gershwin’s hilarious “Tchaikovsky and Other Russians,” which was made famous by Danny Kaye, and classic parodies such as Allan Sherman’s “Hello Muddah” and Schlock Rock’s “Under the Chuppah.”

Proudly presented by The Music Committee of Temple Emanuel.
