“The United States of Elie Tahari” by David Serero (Promotional still)

This highly anticipated documentary by director/producer David Serero chronicles the life of Israeli fashion designer and mogul Elie Tahari. The film focuses on his birth and origin, explores his many achievements, creative process and noteworthy legacy in the fashion world. Arriving in New York City in 1971 with less than $100 in his pocket, Tahari slept on benches in Central Park but still successfully built a billion-dollar fashion empire. Fashion influencers including Fern Mallis (the “Godmother of Fashion”), designers Nicole Miller and Dennis Basso, Melissa Rivers, Arthur S. Levine, The Wall Street Journal fashion writer Teri Agins and artist Lynna Davis, among many others, make special guest appearances in this inspiring film.

Also available virtually from May 1-5.
