Jewish Storytelling

Havurat Shalom will be joined by the Jewish Storytelling Coalition for a story swap. This is where listeners (tales need listeners) and tellers gather to honor the teller and the tale. Some tellers will be experienced and others not at all. The leader asks who has a story to share, figures out a time limit (perhaps 5 minutes or 10) for each teller and decides who tells when.

The tales can be from the centuries of lore from Midrash to Modern times, or original, or personal tales. Preferably they will come from the Jewish experience of the teller. All ages welcome!

This will not be a potluck dinner, but, of course bringing nosh would be considered praiseworthy, and a bissel of ice cream an act of kindness.

So come, sit, listen, tell, enjoy!
