Kindred Creative Residence and AgroForesT in Fletcher, VT, is a BIPOC LGBTQ+ led collective of creatives, educators, and activists committed to teaching sustainable living through regenerative agriculture, community outreach, and arts education. Nina Buxenbaum, one of Kindred CRAFT’s founding members, will join Havurat Shalom via Zoom to draw connections between Tu B’Shevat themes and Kindred’s work for environmental justice, BIPOC land access, and rematriation.

In addition to her work with KindredCRAFT, Nina, a tenured Professor of Art at York College, CUNY, uses visual art to explore the interplay of race, class, gender, and her own African-American and Jewish ancestry.
