This groundbreaking film presents the stories of Native American children who were forced from their homes by government agents and placed with white families. Now, for the first time, these children, many of whom experienced devastating emotional and physical harm, are sharing their stories.

In Maine, a historic investigation—the first U.S. government-sanctioned Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC)—begins a bold journey. The film follows the TRC to contemporary Wabanaki communities to witness intimate, sacred moments of truth-telling and healing. With exclusive access to this never-before-seen footage, the film reveals the untold narrative of indigenous child removal in the United States.

Seen through the lens of Jewish sensitivity to genocide, we offer this film to help raise awareness of the destruction of Native Americans and their brave effort to nurture hope and healing.

The film will be followed by a discussion with the film’s director/producer Adam Mazo.
