Join Havurah on the Hill at the Vilna Shul on February 21st for Kabbalat Shabbat Services and a kosher buffet dinner as we welcome Roy Gould to the Vilna.
Roy Gould is a science education researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, MA, where he is developing projects that enable students nationwide to detect and begin to describe alien worlds circling stars far beyond our own solar system. Dr. Gould has had a varied career: He has produced documentaries for the NOVA Science Series on public television; developed museum exhibits for museums nationwide; and carried out research in biophysics. He is the author of “Going Sour: The Science and Politics of Acid Rain,” and he has testified twice before the U.S. Senate on science and environmental policy. He enjoys tennis, piano playing… and starting a discussion about our place in the universe!

Free parking is available across the street from the Shul at the Charles River Parking Garage underground next to the Au Bon Pain. Please validate your green parking ticket when you arrive to the Shul. The Shul is also easily reached on the MBTA. Take the Red Line to Charles/MGH.
