Our Klezmer jam hosts, Rebecca Mac and Mattias Kaufmann (of Mamaliga, a Boston-based Klezmer ensemble) have returned from their tour in Eastern Europe, so let’s pick up the jam session where we left off!

All instruments and levels of experience are welcome to join! As usual, we’ll start the evening with a slow jam, followed by a fast jam. Come to one or both!

5:30-6:30 p.m.: Slow jam

We’ll learn a tune together, slowly by ear. If you don’t know a lot of tunes, or you’re looking to add to your repertoire, this is a great opportunity for the Klez-pros and amateurs alike to learn something new!

7-9 p.m.: Fast jam

Come to dance, listen, connect with community and meet new friends. Musicians are encouraged to join the band and play along!

Followed by food, drinks and fun!

COVID-19 information:

Masks will be required at all times, except when eating or playing your instrument (winds and brass; please bring a bell cover if you have one). The synagogue is equipped with an HVAC air purifier, as well as an outdoor back patio for eating and drinking. All attendees are required to be fully vaccinated, including a booster.
